We first met the Brazilian-born and Switzerland-bred Oliveira in February, when she was named one of our models to watch at the fall/winter 2017 shows. (She told T that she likes to spend her time backstage “making everyone laugh,” instead of being “on another planet with headphones in, so I always talk and get to know people.”) In August, Oliveira posed for her inaugural T shoot, an editorial that dissected the contemporary punk trend.

Since debuting at Céline’s fall/winter 2015 show — and ultimately becoming the face of the brand — the Martinique-raised Loyce has walked the runway for all of the notable fashion houses. And in February, she tried out a series of relaxed, neutral-hued outfits (with minimal makeup) for T.

The Arizona native needs no introduction to regular T readers; she made the 2015 iteration of this list. For our spring Design issue, Westling shared the frame with an unlikely subject — vintage dirt bikes — and wore a mash-up of vibrant sporting clothes.

He was already a Louis Vuitton favorite by the time he made our roster of male models to watch in January. (Fun Einla fact: In the corresponding interview, he told T, “If I weren’t modeling, I would be a nature photographer or find my place in the cinema industry behind the scenes.”) In March, he starred in his own T spread, mixing and matching stripes.

The young Italian model has been everywhere this year from Zara look books to Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2018 runway under the Eiffel Tower. She was also in the pages of T — as, in a twist, a blonde — clad in not-too-sweet housedresses and cardigans.

The Kentucky-born and Brooklyn-based Epperson quickly fell in with Raf Simons, walking the runway for his men’s wear line in February and then as a Calvin Klein exclusive for the designer’s debut show. He had similar success with T, posing for a trio of trend-focused fashion editorials: bright socks and plimsoll sneakers, simple tank tops and tailored plaid pants.

The Australian med school student has dominated the 2010s since her first fashion week season nearly eight years ago. She and Freja Beha Erichsen covered T’s fall Women’s Fashion issue, clothed in sharp men’s wear shapes adjusted to fit the female form.

Choi is a modeling-industry force: She first hit a handful of fashion week shows in 2013; this past season she walked 25 runways — and that includes exclusives at Tommy Hilfiger in London and Louis Vuitton in Paris. To round out a strong year, she posed in crisp shirting and men’s style suiting for T’s fall Women’s Fashion issue.

When we met the Paris-based student in June for our seasonal male-models-to-watch list, he had only appeared on a single runway (Kenzo fall/winter 2017). But during the spring/summer 2018 men’s wear shows, he booked Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Dior Homme, among others, and followed up with a T editorial. Not bad for a newbie.

The versatile Belgian has charmed both Demna Gvasalia and Miuccia Prada (and a variety of fashion designers in between) since she debuted in Acne Studios’ 2017 resort show. And for T’s fall Women’s Fashion issue, Renard demonstrated a new way to wear the season’s best black party dresses.
