Following the success of its recent collaborations with Tiffany & Co. and Dior, New York’s iconic St. Regis hotel has just unveiled a third designer suite—one with a decidedly more masculine feel. Overlooking Fifth Avenue from the property’s 15th floor, the one-bedroom Bentley Suite blends the hotel’s understated elegance with the venerable car company’s commitment to handcrafted artisanship and use of the finest materials.
Styled in a muted palette of creams and neutral tones, the 1,700-square-foot space is filled with signature details from Bentley’s vehicles—rich wood furnishings evoke burl-veneer dashboards, herringbone-pattern curtains are trimmed with actual seat belts, Breitling clocks are mounted on the wall, and a crystal chandelier features interlocking circles that resemble the Flying B’s moving gears and wheels. And, this being Bentley, sumptuous leather detailing is found throughout the suite, from the tufted sofa in the living room to the two-tone bucket seats at the dining room table to the entry foyer’s black leather–tile floor.
There are also subtle nods to the marque’s British roots, such as the wooden sideboard with polished front panels that resembles the Union Jack. But perhaps the finest amenity exists outside the suite’s walls—all guests have access to the chauffeured St. Regis Bentley Mulsanne, the first 2013 model in the United States, which comes complete with St. Regis crests on the headrests and crystal champagne flutes.
