This week, the Modern Love podcast revisits “Rallying to Keep the Game Alive.” The 2013 essay was written by Ann Leary, the author of three novels and the memoir “An Innocent, a Broad.”
Ms. Leary’s essay is the basis of one of the episodes in Amazon Prime Video’s new TV series “Modern Love,” which premieres Oct. 18.
It is read by the actress Connie Nielsen, who appeared in the 2017 film “Wonder Woman” and has a recurring role in the TV mini-series “I Am the Night.”
Stay tuned after the reading to hear a conversation between Ms. Leary, the Modern Love editor Daniel Jones, the producer of the Modern Love podcast Caitlin O’Keefe, recorded in front of a live audience at WBUR CitySpace on Oct. 6.
