I wanted Pumps growing up, but instead my mom came home with these. At first I didn’t like them, but after I started wearing them I never took them off. I wore them until there were holes in the sock liner. The Gel-Lyte III is also the first sneaker I collaborated on, so it has a very special place in my heart.

The 1 is my favorite Jordan. It’s the one that started it all. It’s also a sneaker that has transcended the sport and has become a silhouette accepted in all levels of fashion. The Bred colorway is my personal favorite because of how classic it is, and also because how Nike was able to spin the marketing campaign around it. Everything about this shoe is timeless.

The OG Air Max 95 is a staple sneaker for New Yorkers. It also came out during the most influential time of my life, when I was being introduced to the things that would ultimately shape my taste and outlook forever. The colorway was so ahead of its time and played off the design of the silhouette perfectly.
New Balance 990 V2 Grey
There are few things more classic than a gray New Balance. My favorite silhouette from their line is the 990 V2. The tooling used on this model still feels futuristic today, which speaks volumes about the design.

This sneaker is forever ingrained in hip-hop culture and was one of the first sneakers to make that transition to a widely acceptable street sneaker. In my opinion it is Adidas’s most classic silhouette and will forever be relevant. There’s no other design like the shell toe; it’s immediately recognizable and could never be duplicated.

A State Department exodus marks a new stage in the broken and increasingly contentious relationship between Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson and much of his work force.
Mr. Tillerson has frozen most hiring and recently offered a buyout in hopes of pushing nearly 2,000 career diplomats and civil servants to leave by October 2018.
In a Mill Town That Turned to Trump, Trade Worries Persist
Neenah, in a Wisconsin county that flipped from blue to red, has lost factory jobs and its sense of prosperity. But local industries are concerned about a trade war.
A bureaucratic standoff has left it unclear who will be in charge of a consumer watchdog agency.
President Trump named his budget director as the agency’s acting leader, moving to take control just hours after its departing leader had taken steps to install his own choice for acting chief.

Militants Kill at Least 305 During Mosque Attack in Egypt
The attackers sprayed gunfire and exploded bombs at a crowded mosque at which most of the worshippers were Sufi Muslims, a sect regarded by extremists as heretical.
Even by recent standards in Egypt, where militants have blown up Christian worshipers in church pews and gunned down pilgrims in buses, it was an unusually ruthless assault.
Who are Sufi Muslims, and why do some extremists hate them?
A terrorist attack in Egypt has focused attention on the mystical school of Islam, which emphasizes the inward search for divinity.
