Weekend? What weekend? New York Fashion Week knows no such thing. On Saturday, the shows soldier on — and so, in their thrall, do we.

Here’s what’s coming up today.

• A torch, passed. In May, Diane von Furstenberg, the first lady of American fashion (never mind that she’s Belgian) appointed Jonathan Saunders as the chief creative officer of her namesake label (never mind that he’s Scottish). Mr. Saunders, whose own namesake label, now shuttered, was a highlight of London Fashion Week for years, will show his first presentation for DVF by appointment.

• A cobbler to watch. The footwear designer Paul Andrew had a long career quietly designing for fashion’s big names, but in 2013 he struck out on his own. A year later he won the 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. The crowds at his footwear presentation on Saturday morning will have something new to crow about: this week, he was named the design director of women’s footwear for Salvatore Ferragamo.

• Street fashion, again. The unofficial theme of the season seems to be showing alfresco. Rachel Comey began NYFW with a show on the sidewalk; and today at noon, two competing (but very different) shows will begin outdoors. The art world’s favorite eccentrics Eckhaus Latta will show in Seward Park; the accessories queen Rebecca Minkoff will take to the streets of SoHo.

• The man who brings the party. Alexander Wang’s show starts late (9 p.m.), but the silver lining is that it segues directly into its after-party. Mr. Wang loves a bash and tends to call out the big guns to perform: Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown and Lil Wayne have all played past Wang parties. No word yet on who’s on tonight.
