Monique Lhuillier’s new two-story flagship, in a restored 19th-century townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is an alluring showcase not just for the fashion designer’s chic eveningwear, bridal finery, and tabletop collections but also for the artwork and furniture that grace the interiors.
A bronze table and hammered-steel cabinet, both hand-forged by sculptor Silas Seandel, share quarters with a mirror by designer Neal Small and iridescent paintings by artist Nancy Lorenz. Topping it all off are chandeliers conceived by Lhuillier herself using Waterford crystals that recall the intricate beadwork of her coveted gowns.
