On November 8, the world’s largest assemblage of Art Deco Voisin vehicles goes on display at the Mullin Automotive Museum, in Oxnard, California. Created by Gabriel Voisin, a pioneer of the French aviation industry, the marque was favored by such 1920s and ’30s tastemakers as chanteuse Josephine Baker and modernist innovator Le Corbusier. Museum founder Peter Mullin, hardly lacking in enthusiasm, says this of Voisin’s talents: “It is no overstatement to compare his genius, curiosity, and capabilities with those of Leonardo da Vinci.” Through April 12, 2013; mullinautomotivemuseum.com
